Hello,
im very pleased to have the evga gtx 660 ti ftw +3gb card, it is really a great card and im enjoing my games very much. The gpu temperatures goes from to 30° idle to over 70° when i play. Is the card too hot? Should i set the fan speed with precision to keep fresher the gpu?
Sorry for my bad english but i am italian .

Hello! And congrats on the purchase!

Those temps are just fine, however I would recommend setting a more aggressive fan curve within precision! This will never hurt. I believe the fan curves for the 600 series are not aggressive enough by default.
Here is a picture of my Fan curve, I dont like mine to get above 70C as that is when the cards begin to throttle back 13MHz.

    Thanks for your replay.
I set my fan curve like yours, was that a good choice?

If noise doesn't bother you when playing video games then it will not be a problem. I game with a headset and I don't mind my fans spinning up that high.

Can always move it down a little bit to get to your liking its pretty user friendly.

    hello,
i updated my precision x to the 16 version, but something is changed in fan curve gestion. Well, if i use the aggressive fan curve profile, temps in game with massive gpu usage go from 65° to 71° and when gpu reaches 68 ° it boosts from 1201 mhz to 1215. Are these temps fine, or should i set a more aggressive fan curve to avoid the gpu reaching 68°? Anyway if it does not reach 68°, it does not do the last boost until 1215 mhz. What should i do to set this last boost without reaching high temps?
I hope you will understand my bad english.

Sorry to just barge into the thread like this, but I must say this. The maximum operating temperature for GTX 600 series is 97°C. Anything beyond that point, the system will shut down to prevent damaging your GPU or other components. I personally think that at 71°C, the GTX 660 Ti FTW would perform fine. Your current temperatures are fine. All this info is purely my opinion. It's up to you to make the final decision. Enjoy your new GTX 660 Ti FTW :)
