Does anyone know if the MIC port on the NU Audio Pro supports TS, TRS, or TRRS connections? Thanks

I want to connect this MIC to the NU Audio Pro, https://www.rode.com/microphones/smartlav-plus

I could be wrong, but both EVGA NU Audio cards look like they are TRRS compatible, to me.  Just judging on the rear PCB pictures I can find on the internet, I see an obvious tip connection, an obvious first ring connection, a missing second ring connection (because it is a ground which is instead connected to the casing which is soldered at both ends), and an obvious sleeve connection.

Or, it could be just TRS (instead of TRRS), if it is an isolated circuit and the casing (and thus shielding) isn't grounded to the PC (in order to avoid ground loops).  But, the 1, 2, gap, 3 spacing just doesn't look right for simple TRS.  And proper grounding of the shielding is pretty standard, so it would be weird to leave it ungrounded with reference to the computer.

Hopefully an EVGA representative will confirm.

I would think that it is TRRS, especially on the pro. We will see if someone from EVGA replies back.

Reading up on this more it would appear that this port would have to be a TRRS port. According to Monoprice, https://monopricesupport.kayako.com/article/102-what-is-the-difference-between-ts-trs-and-trrs, a TR port only supports mono output, TRS supports stereo output, and TRRS supports stereo output and mic input. Assuming that the card follows standards I would think that it should support a TRRS connector. Hopefully EVGA replies to this thread today, if they dont I will submit a support ticket.

Let me check for you guys.  Support would be the same for both audio cards.

Trouble is, the TRRS "standard" applies mainly to phones. Even then, there are different TRRS configurations for Apple vs. Android.

The NU Audio mic port is almost certainly a 1/8" TRS+switch jack for stereo input only. There is no audio output at this jack, so TRRS is very unlikely. The switch connection (thin circuit trace incorrectly labeled R in the photo above) is used to detect when something is plugged into the jack.

The answer I got is that the port uses a TRS connection.  You would need to use a TRRS to TRS adapter, such as one of these (just an example):  https://cdn1.rode.com/sc3_datasheet.pdf
