If I install 2 IDENTICAL M2 SSDs (both NVMe (knowing that the NVMe on PM2 will behave like a standard SATA SSD)
Installing 1 on PM2 and 1 on U.2..
Will there be a difference in throughput? (read/write)
Thanks!

Tks

No it will be PCI-E x4 not SATA thought because it support NMVE!
If you are getting Samsung M.2 support NMVE or others it will no problem for your motherboard have already support NMVE
EDIT > it will be no change speed read/write

Yep both SSDs are Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2..
I understand that both U.2 and PM2 will each use 4 PCH PCIe lanes.
My question is, will I get a better performance from the SSD when it is attached to the U.2 plug using a Mini-SAS(SFF-8643) to U.2 (SFF-8639) NVMe SSD Cable compared to connecting the M.2 directly to the PM2 M.2 connector on the Motherboard?  (I know I will need an 2.5" enclosure with a plug adapter to house the SSD)
    Tks.
