Hello. I have a question. When i left game running Metro Exodus for hours ,like 12-30 hours,it will crash after that time. Sometimes after 12 hours,20 hours or 30 hours.
Crash is something about c0000005 - memory access violation.

NULL POINTER WRITE.

Not driver crash. Event log nothing about driver crash. Just BUGTRAP crash.

Screens from debugger:

Is my hardware ok? I dont have any crashes in other games or benches. Realbench passing too ,memtest no errors. I am on newest nvidia drivers.Using MSI AFTERBURNER + RTSS.

Somebody said that this to me:"any game should not be crash no matter how long you play or idle...

Pc:
9900K 5ghz ( llc level 5 idle 1.34-1.35v,load 1.313-323v)
2x16GB DDR4 GSKILL 3000mhz
Asus Prime Z390-A

Just a thought, what is your pagefile size? Long hours such as that could easily fill up and or fail to overwrite data in the pagefile, on all of my systems I set mine to 20gb manually and leave my PC on with games playing for days sometimes. What you are describing could be a number of things this is just my best shot at helping. Run SFC /scannow for the sake of it, and increase your page file size and see if that helps.

Tmmy34, the solutions are simple. 1) Don't leave the game running for 12 to 30 hours. 2) Contact the game developer for support if you think that the game shouldn't crash due to memory resources after leaving it needlessly running for 12 to 30 hours.

    Regardless of your specific issue

Best Practice --->  set the Memory Timing & Voltage manualy

XMP is a shortcut - may work well & then again may Not -- only "significant stress testing" would show the results & results would be accurate for "that test only"

I agree with ty_ger07. Just don't leave the game idling for 12-30 hours.

So possibly memory leak rather than XMP issue?

Hello last question. SOmebody said this to me:"Remove all but 1 stick of RAM. Repeat the process to repeat the error. Swap that stick for the next stick and repeat. Do this until all sticks have been tested. IF all sticks have the SAME error then either they are all bad or they are all good. With a single stick, the Error should appear faster. This will be because OoM = Out of Memory error which is a LEAK generally within the GAME not releasing data from the memory. If the Error takes the Same length of time, Disable the AUDIO systems and repeat the test for the Error."

And my question is can i have faulty ram? its my last question and we can close topic. I dont wanna trolling or something. Really appreciate it for helping me.

It's clearly a game issue since you said you didn't have the issue with other games.

Ah i forgot. One time after crash my system get rebooted from Windows desktop. After crash i decided to log out from system and after log back in,pc get rebooted.

    Found that file :
    windows/livekernelreports/ pow32kwatchdog.dmp.
A callout to Win32k did not return promptly"

Its propably game/driver issue not ram or psu?

What you just said does sound like a ram, overclock, or power issue.

My pc is not oc. All stock,XMP applied only. GPU stock. Psu is brand new ,no other issues. IS any chance that this unexpected reboot was caused by software?

Software issue is a possibility as well. XMP is overclocking your ram. A 9900k is rated at 2666 MHz, and you're running your ram at 3000 MHz.
