MB manual talks about them as SFF-8639 and, knowing nothing about U.2, I kept referring to them as 8639 but I was told I am incorrect, that ports on MBs are 8643 while 8639 is drive side.
 
Could somebody, please, confirm ports on MB are indeed 8643?

    could I connect 4 sata drives and they would be seen in windows ?
     
    Would I see them in the intel RST ?

    Would I be able to RAID them ?

    Would I be able to RAID them with another 4 on the OTHER U.2 SFF 8643 ?

    No. First mb port is NVMe (U.2), not SATA. Second, even if your drives and cable were of U.2 kind you still can't connect four drives to that port. That port can do single drive connection only.

    The DiLinKer branded cables are from the same OEM that makes Intel's Optane M.2 / Mini-SAS HD to U.2 cables. I'd pick those for the highest quality.
