Would like to ask the powers-that-be at EVGA to please include a DEFAULT boot select (F7) when 2 or more boot drives are configured - in the next BIOS update.

The default behavior seems to be repeatedly hitting F7 to get into the boot select menu. If that could be a default selectable option / behavior that could be preset in the BIOS - that would be fantastic.

This would be particularly relevant to SR3 users who, I bet, would love to be able to boot directly into linux for work - or windows for fun.

Simply put - each time the systems boots / reboots - it would show the “boot select” menu without having to repeatedly press F7. A convenience thing.

Thanks

Question for you two - Are you OK with a setting in the BIOS like "Always show boot option" that will force a selection screen on every boot?

    YES!

That would be perfect. Users would be able to enable it when they know they have 2+ boot drives and they use both frequently. For those that don’t have 2 or more boot drives, or always boot into whichever is top of the list, it’s easy just to leave default as off.

    Perfect solution!

Yes. Majority of time I boot from same device all the time. But sometimes for longer period of time I need to be able to choose which device I want to boot from on every boot.

Ok.  I think we have a new BIOS planned for the SR-3 DARK for Tuesday.  I'll check with the team to see if they can add this.  My assumption is that it will be disabled by default.
