I have an 6144MB EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC Gaming thats 2 Months over Warranty...
It just started to crash if i try to play a Game. Normaly just the Game will not respond and iam send back to Desktop. I tried it on 2 different PCs with same result.
Then I tried MSI Afterburner with a slighly underclock, -22CoreClock and -32MemoryClock and that worked well. All games are running and 3DMark now passes successfully.
Is there anyway to hardcode this into the vBIOS? I dont want to run Afterburner all the time...

Thanks
Marv

You can use MSI After burner or EVGA Precision to downclock your card to the point where it works okay..Then in MSI AB enable "Apply overclocking at system startup" or in Precision enable "Apply previous settings on load"..That way, the downclock will be applied when Windows starts regardless of whether AB or Precision is started/running or not..NVIDIA Inspector can be used for that too.

Use GPU-Z or GPU Shark to check the clock speeds.

    Thanks Bob,
yep thats the way iam currently doing it. Just hoped for a Way, that i dont have to setup each time i reinstall Windows / got a new Pc or something. But luckily thats not often the case.

    No problemo.

But it's no big deal to do that, easy peasy.

I actually forgot I did that once when I was doinkin' around and wondered why my clocks weren't boosting..Then I remembered
