I recently purchased a B stock GeForce 1060 and tried to install it in my Dell XPS 8700 (32 GB RAM, intel i7, A14 bios, GeForce 645). I initially got a black screen and a CMOS chksum ROM error followed by infinite re boot loops. Based on a suggestion I removed the motherboard battery Andre-set the BIOS, but I still got a black screen. I realized I was running legacy BIOS and switched over to UEFI, reinstalled the card but I am still getting a black screen and reboot loops. I figured I did not need to run DDU since the previously installed card used the same drivers and they should work with the new card. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You sure the 1060 is ok? Have you checked it in another system?

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the card in a system with a larger power supply. The fans run, LED lights up, but no signal to monitor. I think I got a bum card.

No problem. Sorry to hear that. Did you try all the outputs on the back of the card as well?

I tried both the HDMI and the DP. No signal from either one,

Yeah, sounds like you got a bad card.
