I guess it will be more work for Kingpin unless of course they'll be adding someone new to the team.

I was under the impression that kingpin was the benchmark guy and tin was the actual engineer of the cards.

I believe they both were heavily involved in designs.

I understand, but TiN is an actual electrical engineer and went to school for it.

I believe KingPin and Tin had something to do with the design of this board.

I believe they did as well.

K|ngp|n and T|n design dark motherboards, so yes.

Where did KingPin and T|n get their engineering degree at?

EVGA isn't going to pre-announce new products. You'll have to wait and see.

Good Luck and God speed TiN. We'll all miss you.

Just a thought....

If TiN is no longer going to be around to design/fabricate any new future Kingpin Graphics Cards, Does that mean that the EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Kingpin is the last of it's Kind?

If that is the case, I guess I should be glad I managed to purchase two of them recently.

Re: Thank you TiN for all you have contributed! 2020/08/27 13:52:29 (permalink)
I think EVGA would probably say something like

"A large team with many engineers are involved in the design and engineering of all our products"

It seems more like TiN and Vince were a bit of a "skunk works" team at EVGA and I would have to agree with many on the forum with regards to loss.

Even just the loss of TiN's XDEV documentation for the new EVGA products geared towards enthusiast overclocking is going to be a detrimental for EVGA fans and enthusiasts in general.

I wish you well TiN and hope the best for you and your family.

Thanks all for best wishes. I left for personal reasons, also switching the industry altogether to learn new things and explore different ideas. It was great fun to spend 8.5 years in lab with Vince, running thru countless tons of LN2.

Sadly I wouldn't be able to continue guides and teardowns of PC hardware on xDevs.com, which I enjoyed a great deal, as there is no budget for this. Like some famous people say "Want to learn something well - try to explain and teach it"... But its one thing to use some ES lab samples to make a content, and completely different to spend thousands for one article.

I have just noticed that my fancy forum rights are revoked, so I'm just average user for PC world. My PC is aircooled and not even overclocked :)
