Hi all,

I´m using my new build with the z390 dark for a week now and there is one feature I'am really missing!

I can´t find a way to make sidetone work (hearing my own voice in my headphones when talking) besides the win10 solution which has noticable delay.
There isnt an option for this in the Sound Blaster Recon3di control panel.

Is it possible to install the realtek audio driver cus there is an option for sidetone? Or is there another sound blaster software out there which has this feature?

Best regards,
Fabian

I have both these installed. There is no option to create a sidetone.

Not sure I don't think you cannot install Realtek Audio Driver that your motherboard support only Creative and Evga Nu Audio for Headphone!
Yes you need install both but if you wish to use Headphone then you need install EVGA NU Audio.
Please read in your manual book pages for NU Audio Pages 116
     For Creative Pages 97
Sound Blaster Recon3di control panel should be in running bottom taskbar small icon 'SB' see if still there? or go click open start and find Creative folder.

If problem still there then try run troubleshoot 'Playing Audio' and try choose to set default on SoundBlaster Recon 3di.
For NU Audio if you want to use Headphone then you need change to NU Audio from SoundBlaster in your bottom taskbar click sound icon will pop up list of select playback Device by click small arrow point up then choose NU Audio.

Or try run repair your Creative driver?

I hope if this help you? Post us back how getting on

That appears to be an older driver to me?
I wonder if EVGA is going to update the on board Creative drivers at any point. Checking for updates through the Creative Auto Update check shows unable to detect any Creative Products.

Checking through the Creative Auto Updater it says no Creative product found on my system...

Yeah I have the same but it seem don't work really! I uninstall this update software (Extra Software) I use latest driver from Station Drivers so far is good.
I have notice it now update latest version to 6.0.101.1061

The onboard creative isn't sold or supported by retail creative operations is why, they provide drivers to partners (evga) to package and release for their systems.

Appreciated all the help so far. But what i want is to achieve having a SIDETONE.

(Explanation: Sidetone is a feature that allows you to hear your own voice in the headset as you speak into the microphone. If your ears are covered, you will be prone to speaking louder than necessary; hearing your own voice in the speaker mitigates this. Additionally, it has been reported that some users have actually experienced fatigue during long conversations without any sidetone in the headset/phone.)

And there is no option for that in the Creative Sound blaster menu. The one from windows sound itself has noticeble delay and is not an option.

    Maybe an add-in audio card?

I had issues with the on-board Creative playing rear surround through front center (5.1).

I bought a PCI-E to PCI adapter cable and have been using my Auzentech X-Meridian.

    Works flawlessly, unlike the Creative.

My Creative running on my Z370 onboard Sound Core 3Di is great no problem!! I use my SPDIF-out cable to my Z-906 5.1 surround sound thought from default SoundBlaster Speaker that suppose 5.1.
I have installed latest Version 6.0.101.1061 already on my Sound recon 3Di. This driver is WHQL

When I watch Films on Films & TV apps they support DTS and Dolby Digital on SPDIF-out to my Z906. It so great surround sounds on films and games or others!!

This has been a known issue since the Recon3d/3di released in 2012, see this and this.

You would be better off buying a sound card that is designed to do this.

I just tested the mic delay on my onboard Recond3di (Z370) and the delay is enough to make you feel drunk.

@chinobino Yep the delay is for sure too much. Not an option :/

Now the BIG QUESTION: Does the NU Audio card have the sidetone feature??? :)

This because you all may use 'Turn on fast startup' in your Windows that cause delay!! Turn it off it will solve your problem...

I don't even have 'fast startup' in my shutdown options.

I have sleep and lock and that's it.
