i have overclocked my gt 1030 at base 1366, and memory 1520,the boost clock is 1619 with some adjustment to it basic power setting. linear is also good depends on your taste. this setting work great with my system. i tried even higher settings, and i was amazed had my base clock at 1416,and boost clock 1644 for 30 watts its kicks butt. my old 1 ghz 730 is sublight speed, and the gt 1030 is warp speed. its performance is outstanding. as far as overheating most i have seen it is 72 degrees on some high graphics games, and only 62 degrees on others, and my auto fan speed is aggressive works good for me. its an excellent card for games, and multimedia for sharp crisp color, and picture. EVGA makes the best gt 1030 of all the 1030's out there.

my personal settings for my gt 1030 is up 25+ on basic power setting with 25 + core, and 389+ memory clock which makes my base clock 1316/1697 memory/1569 boost which gave me a bandwidth of 54.3 gbs,and also agressive setting on auto fan settings. its very stable, and perfect for me. you can go higher just play with the settings, but beware if too high it heats up more, and also do not raise your basic,or linear settings too high cause the card to act crazy with lines, and stuff until reset it to default settings. found this out when i accidently set it while trying to set it at a higher level.

    Welcome to the Forum bigpay175
I like this GPU for use in my Servers for the most part to replace integrated Matrox g200 card.
While I do set the Fan to 60% I do not overclock the GPU or Memory.

This card has crazy OC potential. After a day of testing, I found out that the GPU clock offset cannot go higher than +160 without stability issues. I could make it run stable with a voltage offset of +50%, but it's easier to increase the memory clock to get the same results. No need to up the voltage. Right now my settings are as follows:

    Power target: 100%
    Temperature target: 75 C
    GPU clock offset: +160
    Memory clock: +750 (!)

Temperature under load: ~62 C (with fan set to 'Agressive')

So my specs under load are 1800-1900mHz GPU clock and 3754mHz memory clock.

Maybe I will test it out Folding but being only an X4 GPU I would be like running an old GTX 660 maybe a 660 Ti.

Excuse my newbie ignorance; I just bought an inexpensive GT 1030 with passive cooling. So.... when these posts talk about fan speeds, I can just ignore that?  A friend gave me an HP mini server that had Windows Server 2012 R2 loaded.  Any recommendations on overclocking software?
