https://www.overclock3d.n...mprovements_-_rumour/1 AMD's Radeon DNA (RDNA) graphics architecture represents a significant step forward for the company, delivering major leaps in performance which will benefit both PC and console gamers as we enter the "next-generation" of gaming. Rumour has it that AMD's planed RDNA 2 graphics architecture will deliver gamers another major generational leap in performance, with Red Gaming Tech reporting that up to a 50% performance improvement could be achieved over RDNA without an increase in power consumption. These improvements will come in the form of architectural enhancements, silicon level optimisations and handcrafted silicon layouts. A lot of the expertise of Zen's design team has moved to Radeon to help push AMD's graphics performance to the next level. These moves should help AMD to catch up to Nvidia, especially when combined with AMD's raytracing technology and other feature enhancements. Rumours from the console camp have placed the clock speeds of Sony's PlayStation 5 console GPU at over 2GHz, performance levels that require a lot of additional power on AMD's Radeon Navi (RDNA 1) graphics cards. This alone suggests that AMD's next-generation RDNA graphics tech will deliver power consumption improvements, though whether or not it is as big as Red Gaming Tech claims remains to be seen. AMD's Radeon RDNA 2 graphics cards are likely to be released during the summer of 2020, with a reveal event at Computex or E3 2020. These events line up well with the expected hardware reveals for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, allowing AMD to market its newest graphics architecture as "next-generation". AMD's CEO, Lisa Su, has confirmed that PC gamers should expect to see Radeon graphics cards with hardware-accelerated raytracing this year. Furthermore, Lisa Su has also confirmed that "a high-end Navi" graphics card is in the works. AMD still has a lot of work to do in my opinion. However if they can manage to match RTX 2080ti performance this year that would help them greatly.

Rumor has some evidence, the new 2020 Xbox Series X has been reported to be drawing about 180w on the GPU and ~200w total system power. Pretty good power usage.

Yes indeed. Certain individuals still think AMD is Nvidia🙄

My friend that works in the industry(she is on the CPU side primarily) has said that RDNA 2 should be good, the Radeon group seem to be very pleased with themselves about it, which she said hasn't been the case in years as they always new that Nvidia had them well covered. This is of course not proof of anything as this isn't her area but the mood is good which I suppose is a good sign.

Very good point. AMD seems to be trying to improve on that front but they still have work to do, they are making good money now so hopefully can hire some talent to fix that issue for good.

LOL, I am not sure if that was directed at me but I found it funny either way, AMD fanboys, or fanboys in general can be very cringey at times.

After the whole RT hysteria, it actually does work if implemented properly by the devs but you won't hear that through the screeching of the AMD fanboys. Meanwhile, they're all of a sudden for RT since AMD will include it in their future products.

How many games up to date have RT?🤔How long have the RX cards been release? Do the math, by the time all games are supported your $1,200 investment will be obsolete and there will.be a GPU at the lower end beating your 2080ti🤣🤣🤣. Nvidia suckered those weak minded to get a hardware that is useful for 25% of the games.🤦💆🙉
