It might or might not be plug-n-play.
 
If you have manually set your old RAM to a fixed Frequency/Timing/Voltage and Command Rate in the BIOS, put all those settings back on [Auto], then Save & Exit BIOS..Then shut down your PC after it starts and put in your new RAM according to your motherboard DIMM Slot population recommendations..Then you can manually set the new RAM Frequency/Timing/Voltage to Corsair specs and a Command Rate of 2T/2N in the BIOS or just use the built-in X.M.P Profile of the RAM which will automatically do all that for you.

You could kill the new RAM if you had manually set the old RAM voltage to a higher voltage than what the new RAM calls for, or it could fail to boot if you manually set the Frequency/Timing/Voltage and Command Rate of the old RAM and it doesn't match the new RAM specs.

Clearing CMOS or loading Optimized Defaults in the BIOS would be another way, but that would put all the BIOS settings back to factory defaults (Auto) and you would then need to make any custom changes needed (such as CPU Overclock, Boot Disk Priority, etc.) all over again.
