Hi all,
I have downloaded the Precision X1 program and my card can go up to 1800mhz ? Now how would i go by in doing this in the program as I am assuming its the memory slider to do this ?

Help and pictures will be appreciated

Many Thanks

Kind Regards

Same card. using MSI Afterburner thou, and easily getting +2000MHz steady. Temps, max I have ever seen was 63C. Love the card

All RTX cards have Nvidia Boost 4.0 "baked In" --> This allows the Max performance for your card based on: Temps, demand & watts

So your card will automatically OC all by itself

The X1 overclocking software allows you to customize your card to get the last bit possible from Your PC ... by allowing you to adjust some settings ...

Fans curves to keep the card cooler than the default setting ....

Power & Temp targets can be increased to set the card to higher limits .... Nvidia Boost 4.0 still rules the max achieved based on its algorithm

Adding MHz to the GPU or RAM - should be done in small steps & requires testing for stability ... running benchmark software

Nope.  The cooler it runs, the faster it could get but other than that, frag on!

It says 1800mhz/140000mhz, but it doesn't go near 140000mhz??

1800 MHz is the advertised GPU core boost clock. 14000 MHz is the advertised GPU memory clock. Two totally different things. And neither will go to their max until you play an appropriately demanding game. For non-gaming, such as CUDA applications, the memory may never reach 14000 MHz because of accuracy requirements.

14000 MHz memory may show up as 7000 MHz memory or 3500 MHz memory in some programs; don't worry about it. The only difference between those three numbers is whether the program is displaying the memory bus frequency, the dual data rate, or the quad data rate.

He is correct. It sounds like the video card is actually running just fine so far. Of course like they mentioned previously you can
tweak around with the core clock and the memory clock and try to squeeze a bit more performance out of your card but just take it slow and you will be fine.
Or you can let Nvidia Boost 4.0 do the work

    All I have done so far is , Nvidia control panel - adjust image settings - Use the advanced 3d image settings option;
and then went to Manage 3d settings and changed power management mode to Prefer Maximum performance. as this was recommended ??

I am assuming Nvidia boost 4.0 is automatic ?

I have literally done nothing to the card since I've got it as I don't overclock GPU's, Why are the numbers high at IDLE ? the target is 24% I dont know why ?

You said in your previous post that you changed the Power management mode in the NVIDIA Control Panel to Prefer maximum performance, which keep the card from going below Base Clock Speed at all times..Change it back to the default of Optimal, or click Restore and then Apply..Then restart your PC..See how that rolls.

    No problemo.

Be aware that you can enable Prefer maximum performance on a game-by-game/program-by-program basis in the NVCPL by going to Manage 3D settings then in the Program Settings tab, open the dropdown under Select a program to customize, then select your game/program from the list, then enable Prefer maximum performance (or anything else you want), then click Apply..That way, settings will only be applied to that game/program when that game/program is running, leaving others unaffected..If a game/program is not in the list, you can add it.

Changing settings in the Global Settings tab applies the settings across-the-board to everything.

When Prefer maximum performance is enabled your card won't drop below it's Base Clock speed..You can also run your card at Boost Clock speed at all times by turning on Boost Lock at the bottom-right of EVGA Precision X1..Enabling Prefer maximum performance or Boost Lock can help with gameplay issues such as FPS and stuttering..Turning on Boost Lock can help with benchmark scores.
