This morning started running into a problem with my card already checked the cables from the PSU and switched them out with a new set and connected to a spare connector on the PSU. Also removed the drivers from my system and reinstalled the latest version. Not sure if i should start planning an RMA yet seems when gaming sometimes the fans go max speed and screen goes back any ideas?

    Only a few possibilities here...

#1 The card is getting too hot.
#2 The card isn't receiving adequate power from the psu.
#3 The card is just defective.

Testing the card in another known good working system at this point is recommended to see if you can replicate the issue in another system. If you don't want to test the card in another pc then I would suggest that you buy another psu to see if that might resolve the issue.

After a bit more testing I've got the fans to stop hitting 100% and now i do get the black screen i am using HDMI to connect to a large tv i'm using as a monitor. I have tried using a different HDMI cable I can test it in a different system but total pain having to travel to my fathers place thats outside London and his PC isnt for gaming. Seems to be stable for the moment.

A local pc shop could test your card.

Not an option in London sadly, most so called computer stores are glorified mobile phone repair shops. Or you have more chance never seeing the card again or the people who work there.

i got the same problem but only when i play the new call of duty modern warfare. It crash all the time in game or some time, i can play like 2 games and the second after, my fan start running 100% and i can't have an image on my screen. The only solution i found for now when it appen is to restart my pc with the button on my case. I can't help you but if you find a solution, i want to know it.

Just to be clear, it the only game it appen in my 60 games (vr and not vr games). Every other game work good.
