Onboard Ethernet card has invalid address about once a week on start up, Z390 FTW

So I am about sick of this problem never going away. I won't even know it's there until I check my email or start a web page. Right clicking the icon in the system tray and choosing troubleshoot does repair it each time, but why? I've waited months for a solution thinking a windows update would fix it, but no joy. Do I just need a newer driver?

    I have tried a newer driver before but I will try again kelkel1. Problem is, it takes about a week to fail so it may be a while before I respond.
     
    BTW: The EVGA driver on this site is older than the one I am currently using.
     
    Also a lot of Dark users are reporting problems like this.

    So it did it again yesterday on first boot up. I miss my old Dark board that had 2 network cards and could just kill the one that gave me problems. Time to shop for an external card.

    Well went with an external NIC card and eventually the problem came back. I now think it is the CenturyLink modem. I use a static address so I will power it off/on and see how long it stays up.
