Just built a new system, using RTX 2060 SC. Every time I log into any game, Witcher for example, it crashes the system in just a few minutes. I swapped it out with a MSI GTX 970 Gaming, no problems. Anyone else having issues?

When you say it crashes the system are you saying it quits responding or it shuts down the computer?

It crashes the system. Shuts down the PC after the fans running at high speed for a few minutes. The monitor goes blank, the fans all go at 100%, and then the system, the entire PC, shuts off. It crashes the system.

If you have any overclocking of the cpu, memory, or video card put it all at stock/default and see how things go. Also list your PC specs so we can get a little more info from you about it. Are these all new parts you have started with or are some used from the previous build?

Sounds like a power problem. What is the make, model & age of your psu?

    My build:
    i7-9700KF
    16x2 GSkill 3200 ram
    Z390 Aorus Pro Wi-Fi
    Bios v. F10
PS EVGA PQ series 850 Platinum
    Rosewill Cullinan MX case
    CoolerMaster Masterliquid ML240
The GPU was the EVGA Gforce RTX 2060 SC but I swapped it with an older MSI GTX 970 Gaming. Since the swap, no crashes, nothing.
With the 2060, I couldn't stay up more than 2 minutes in Witcher... with the 970, no problems at all.
All new parts, except the 970.
    What do you think?

Either the card, psu, or psu cables are at fault. Time to test the card in another known good working pc to see if you can replicate the issue. Using another psu, or powering the card with a different pci-e cable is another option.

Nope. I put it in another PC, clean windows install, updated, installed the recommended drivers, loaded Rust, crashed it in two minutes. Same thing happened, screen went black, fans ran at high speed and the system shut off after about a minute of the fans running at high speed.
