After using Afterburner for years, I decided to try the new PX1.

I have it set to run at startup, but not check for updates. When I restart, and the splash screen comes up, PX1 tries to establish a connection (which I block, naturally).

So, why is it trying to phone home?

You sure updates are still disabled?

Why worry about it? It's just looking to see if there is an update. It's not malicious.

Yet, I had it set to never check for updates.

Regardless of why it attempted the connection, it should not have.
