I have the mobius and i might need some help. Is there a reason why the sound is very low. I'm plug in the rca out and even with my windows sound at 100% and my nu audio sound at 100% i barely hear anything.

I notice when i change the sample rate sometime the sound raise to a "decent" level but immediatly go down.

Correct me if I’m wrong but those headphones have a separate built-in volume control on one of the cups so be sure the volume knob is not turned all the way down. By turning ''100% the Nu Audio card'' do you mean 100% Volume Master or 100% Headphones in EVGA’s software? By my own experience if you turn 100% Headphones and leave the Volume Master variable in the software you will have a lot more volume out of your headphones. Also check if the sample rate on the software matches the one on Windows config. since that could lead to problems too.

yeah the headphone volume is at the maximum. ive try with a different 4 pole cable and also with a 4 pole splitter to get it into the aux/mic output but none of them gave me a good sound, ill probly return the product since it doesnt seem to be compatible with my headset

Thanks for the list!  Since it's an "official" list, I'll have to decline to add them...but I think I can find a place to add user reviews, as I'm sure members will have questions for members that aren't EVGA employees.

Thanks again.

Where is the rest of the list? Is it only the two manufacturers right now? Not very helpful when I have lots of 'phones but none from the two listed.

I have a set Beyer Dynamic DT 1990 Pro Open Studio Headphones and they sound great with the EVGA NU Audio DAC.
These headphone are geared for audio engineers and have a tendency to be on the high end of the audio spectrum and are made for mixing music.
I did notice that EVGA had a set of Beyer Dynamic headphones on their You Tube channel when they were explaining how to use the updated software 6 or 8 months ago.
I am surprised they did not list them in this post about headphones tested.

We have about 5 pairs of Beyer headphones that just haven't been tested.  I'll try to find some time during the holidays to get them done.  I just want to make clear that the absence of Beyer on the list has nothing to do the quality or compatibility of the headphones.

I realize I'm replying to a fairly old post but as an electronic engineer, I should point this out to people whom are having trouble with their headphones and the EVGA NuAudio or any audio card, for that matter.

Do NOT connect your headphones to the LINE OUT on the NuAudio series if you don't have a headset pre-amp and amplifier device. The standard LINE OUT jacks are 10 Kohm (10,000 ohms) and not 2 ~ 1k Ohm compatible, it doesn't have enough drive current nor voltage to run your headphones, stick to the 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) stereo jack on the back, if you have the 3.5mm (1/8 inch) stereo plugs, you'll need an adapter for it, female 3.5 mm to male 6.3 mm (1/8 inch to 1/4 inch) stereo adapter.

If you intend to use electrostatic headsets with this unit, you will need to use the LINE OUT and run it into the amp designed for your device, however, if your equipment can handle the S/PDIF, you'll more likely get a better signal. I realize that S/PDIF's fidelity isn't as good as coax or RCA connectors but as far as being electrically isolated from noise and interference, the S/PDIF is the way to go. RCAs are a terrible design choice for this card, considering the high-end selection of components. I would have expected XLR or Mini-XLR connectors on the back of this card for pro audio. Also, the capability to do bi-wiring for really high-end complex audio configurations for ultimate clean audio on-playback and record.

Add the FINAL SONOROUS VI in the list too! easy to drive em and top quality for the price!
i have the Sennheiser HD 660S too and works great at high volumes!
and the BeyerDynamic DT 1770 PRO at high volumes make distortions and are completely trash... i own 2 pair of them and the 2 does the same thing. i never trust Beyer again.

I never even looked at this list. I’ve been using Koss Tony Bennett Signature Series and AKG K-240 (old sextette version) without issue for ages,
