I just installed a new 2700x and B450 strix over my b350 and 1700. I had the cooler before and it worked fine. Now EVGA flow control is telling me my cpu is at over 100C sometimes. Obviously this is wrong because hwinfo and other sources tell me this (and my computer hasnt blown up). What is happening now? I have reinstalled the software. Im running windows 10

Make sure you're using Flow Control Version 2.0.9 (the latest) which is supposed to fix AM4 CPU package temperature error.

You can grab it in the EVGA Download Center in the Other Products tab -> Closed Loop Coolers.

Uninstall your current version first and restart your PC..Close all other programs running in the Task Bar and Sytem Tray (clock area) before installing.

Where did you plug the Fan pin on your motherboard for the cooler pump?
Did you use > AIO Pump connector?

You can also try increasing the fan speed of that header in BIOS to 100%, this typically resolves that as well. May also resolve your LED difficulties. Are you using LED Sync to change the LED lighting on the cooler? Please reach out to us at support@evga.com if the issues continue.

What stands out to me is the Pump Speed is saying 960RPM and we are not getting a reading for Fan Speed. Are the fans working on the CLC? Also that pump speed is very low so I would make sure the fan header you are plugging it into does not reduce the power to help the system be quiet.

I will add - same issue here, tried it all, Even on a CLEAN windows install!
(Im using the motherboard usb header, tried both i may add)

I'm on a Asus b450-e motherboard, 2700x.
My LED sync is also funky, mostly wont work here either, only rarely.

My reported temps in Flow control is literally 60c above the actual temp (aka 96c+, rendering the fan curve absolutely useless!).
Whatever they "fixed" seems to have borked it even more. Used to have a 10-20c offset in the previous version.

One of these days i just wish they allowed us to set the temp offset ourselves under settings. That seems like the most simple workaround.
That way they don't have to spend unnecessary time troubleshooting. It would in the long run just save a lot of people time and money.

Also pro tip:  DO NOT use Asus Expert fan with flow control to control case fans!
It literally shuts down the CLC unit (led = off/ fans off or low speed / Flow control unresponsive or blank, only showing coolant temp = either one of these will happen or all of them at once - restart only solution!)
