hello thanks ahead for any help. I'm a old school computer guy or maybe i'm just old......I'm building a new hadron hydro case setup with the H370 stinger and we picked out I5-9600kf and like a dummy i didn't check compatibility and now i see it's not listed anywhere except intel says it will work with this chipset.... so will it? and also i got the 1660 super so i don't need the graphix on the cpu. other than that i got a 240mm clc water cooler and G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Desktop Memory Model F4-2666C15D-32GVR. it's my first build for myself in over 10 years most times I just recycle my sons old parts so it is nice to build a little system like this for myself. again thanks for shedding some clarity on my selection......back in my day we didn't phase out chip architecture they just added a few more pins and make a new socket :P

    Hi,

    jasonkelleyso will it?

Yes but you might need to update the bios (to 1.04 or 1.06 for F-suffixed CPU ?) to support it first. If you buy it directly from EVGA, it should be up to date and I'm sure they can ensure that for you before your purchase.

    Welcome to the forums.

An H370 Stinger is compatible with an i5-9600K..The F suffix just means it requires a discrete graphics card because it has no iGPU/Processor Graphics built in, the K suffix means it's unlocked for overclocking..The board needs BIOS version 1.04 or newer to run it.

You're good to go with the BIOS above.

Since you ordered it directly from EVGA, it should have the latest BIOS already installed..If you had ordered it from a vendor, maybe not.

it came with bios vs 1.01 the cpu was fine but usb stick kept freezing before windows would start instillation. a easy bios upgrade and windows loaded fine and so far everything is ok minus the bad power supply :( thanks again!!!
