I think it's important to note the key thing here is high speed HDMI is what is needed. You could buy an Amazon Basic HDMI cable for a TV and have it give just as good quality of a picture as a cable that is five times more expensive. Being digital the signal makes it to the TV and is decoded or it doesn't. Display port though is kind of more picky since again the signal makes it or it doesn't but a lot of cheap cables are not good quality and the signal doesn't make it.

Monster cables thanks to geek squad recommendation and they are both dead.This last one if i turned HDR on it would give weird flickers and then it died so i am using a 10 year old xbox cable and it works perfect for 4k HDR 60 fps on Gears 5
Go figure
