To quote the extended warranty page (emphasis mine):
Starting on March 1st, 2013, products registered within 90 days of purchase with the part number suffix -KR* with the exception of peripherals or power supplies will have the option to purchase an extended warranty within the regions of the Contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and EU. The product must be purchased as new and from an authorized EVGA reseller to qualify for the Extended Warranty Program.

At some point in the future Britain probably won't be in the EU, this raises some questions about the extended warranty terms:
  • Will extended warranties still be available for UK customers to buy after Brexit?
  • Will UK customers still be able to buy extended warranties after Brexit if they purchased a card before Brexit (within the 90 day limit, obviously)?
  • Will extended warranties bought by UK customers before Brexit still be valid after Brexit?

As an aside; when buying an extended warranty, does it matter if the authorised retailer is in a different country to the customer? There seems to be a national shortage of the card I'm after.

1,2&3 unless EVGA changes the Terms - should not matter post Brexit ... of course "duties may apply" if shipped outside of your country

No, but the warranty will be based on Your location

I do not know if there will be any changes as a result of Brexit but whatever warranty is registered for your products now remains the same.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I don't think Brexit will to anything to the warranty but I don't work for EVGA and EVGA doesn't really know how the UK will exit the EU same with the rest of the world. Hopefully though it's with a deal that will make warranty replacement easier for all companies.

Right now, it's difficult to provide a concrete answer as Brexit has not officially happened yet. As I am sure you are aware, due to the political issues involving Brexit, we aren't able to make any decisions until it actually happens and the UK makes agreements with the EU and other countries. Until Brexit is made official then the EU warranty terms would include the UK as well.

I think it's also helpful to remember that when we say "EU", we're really just using EU as shorthand for Europe, and not "European Union".  Our warranty and warranty terms are tied more to the EMEA region.  EU usually only shows up in Terms & Conditions and shorthand descriptions on certain pages.

Although we are proactively monitoring Brexit to see how it will affect our operations in the UK, sales obligations in that region, and any new legal requirements for warranty, there are no current plans to change the benefits we have for the EU, or Europe region.  As Adam noted, if/when Brexit occurs, we will review to see if we need to make separate entries for the UK.

Sorry to bring up this old post.

But how does Brexit affect warranty replacements in the UK. If a item is replaced will we now have to pay import duty and vat as the value will probably be worth more than £135

EVGA X299 FTW, Intel i9 10920x, 32gb Corsair Vantage Pro RGB, RTX 3080 IT FE, Corsair 5000x, Corsair H150i Elite, Nvme 1tb, 1TB SSD, EVGA 1000w G5, Creative SBX AE-5.

I've been wondering about this as well, now that my 2080 Hydrocopper seems to be the source of the leak in my loop.

That's not going to be cheap if it's replaced and charge vat on importing back to the UK
