Recently at PAX Australia, where over an hour of Cyberpunk 2077 footage was being shown off, Gamespot sat down with John Mamais, head of CD Projekt Red’s Krakow office. In this interview, Mamais confirmed that microtransactions would not be coming to Cyberpunk 2077, saying “I think it’s a bad idea to do microtransactions after you release a game”. While Mamais acknowledged that microtransactions are “very profitable”, the focus for CDPR is to not “lose the goodwill of our customers”.
 
A lot of gamers are looking forward to this. 
 
Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing on the 16th of April 2020.

    I'm ok with transactions , if they are just cosmetics and not Pay2Win items. 
     Single player only games wouldn't really be affected anyways.  I prefer the storyline DLC's / content DLc's ,..etc..

    In a single player game it doesn't really matter to me as long as the game isn't super hard without paying. I also totally don't mind it for cosmetic items. Overall though it's not really needed and I prefer to earn the look I have at the end of the game.

    Microtransactions are predatory. It sets the culture and mentality of the game's playerbase. Neither are good when microtransactions are involved.

    I'm fully okay with microtransactios, if they don't meddle with the gaming process, though I love when devs put effort in a DLC to get money, not just some trashy cosmetics

    One thing I don't like about micro-transactions, is that they can cater to "whales" as I've heard them called, ~ 0.1% of the players that provide >50% of the money that the game makes, making all financial incentives point to pleasing a very small number of the user base.
