now with my two 1080ti sli card in some HDR games stripes and square appear on the screen. if hdr is disabled all work fine.
someone can explain what happened ?

    What type of cable are you using ?

    What games? Also, depending upon your settings, you might be having an issue with your cable and bandwidth. HDR requires more bandwidth. My first suggestion is to try another cable and or reduce the resolution to see if the issue persists.

    • lindy display port 1.4 cable gold series 2 mt connected to my X27 Acer monitor
    • Supported Bandwidth: 32.4Gbps
    • Maximum Resolution: 7680x4320@60Hz 4:2:2 8bit including 4K 4096x2160@120Hz 4:4:4 8bit
    • Nominal Attenuation: 300kHz-825MHz
    • my res is 3840x2160 120hz.
    • this happened only with some games switching from sdr to hdr or reverting from hdr to sdr.
     i have a second monitor full hd ( no HDR) attached to the same card with a 1.2 display port cable (
    i,m using 2 1080 ti ftw3 in sli my mobo is  a dark x299 MoBo. i9 7940x proc 64 gigs ram

    test with a Certified DP cable --> They Do Not have to be expensive brand cables, check they are Certified

    I agree with trying a different display cable. I use this one on my x27.

    if op were to rma the 1080ti would they mostly give him a 2080 or a 2080 super if they are out of 1080ti's? Thinking about rma'ing my card for extremely loud coil whine

    exchanged card one on pci2 and card 2 on pci3.
    Same problem so i think is the cable.
    this happened with Destiny 2 and tomb rider. only in full screen + g-sync HDR. in windowed ( G-sync disabled)   all work fine.
    With other games all work fine in full or windowed
