I have a EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB. I went to manually look for an update for my precision x oc and found that it was no longer being supported and that the new X1 is taking it's place. I have both and currently running X1 although it took it a few reboots for the setting to stick. Now it's running just fine. So which one should I use/keep using for my particular GPU?

I use XOC because it works better with my Keyboards LCD monitoring.

PX1 (Precision X1) is geared more toward 10-series cards and newer with iCX Technology Cooling.

PXOC (Precision XOC) is geared more toward 10-series cards and older, like your card, that have ACX Cooling.

However, PX1 will work with your card (with ACX Cooling) but the features specific to 10-series cards and newer with iCX Technology Cooling will not be available, of course..Also, PX1 may have better OSD (On-Screen Display) support in some games than PXOC does.

Which one should you use?..That's up to you and whichever one works best for you..I can use PX1 with my EVGA GTX 760 SC just fine.

MSI Afterburner is a viable alternative for your card too and has better OSD support than either PX1 or PXOC.

Both work great on my old system. It took my a bit to figure out the configuration settings and apply it to my GPU. I'll stick with PX1 for now.

    Thanks peeps!
