Hello All,
Does anyone have any info on this. I've been searching the interwebs and can't seem to find it.

I don’t think anyone has talked about it yet. Most people that can talk about it are probably under NDA at this point, so we would need for someone to leak that information or the NDA to lift so that the reviewers can spill the beans.

    No data availible yet.

But since it's 165 Watt TDP i not sure TIM is good idea, especially for HEDT solution. First Skylake-X (i9-7000) was with TIM, but in next Skylake-X Refrash they fixed it. There is no point go back to TIM.

I assume the CPUs will be soldered, Intel won't fall in the same hole twice. We'll find out tomorrow.

The 9xxx series had issues with the solder so i honestly wouldnt mind TIM again because of how easy it is to delid.

Intel can't afford to sacrifice frequency to save pocket change on manufacturing costs, using TIM would raise temps and lower its available frequency range.

AMD is giving them stiff competition and Intel's frequency advantage is the only thing them competitive. Or at least loosely competitive. It would be very self-defeating for Intel to swap its server chips to TIM at this stage, which is what the HEDT platform sources them from.
