Greetings,
Was hoping to get through this build without a problem but no such luck. I can't get windows 10 to install on a new system but I may know why so looking for guidance, but first my system specs.
Z390 Dark Mobo, I9-9900KF cpu, EVGA RTX 2070 super video card, Evga 1000W psu, Corsair Vengeance 32gb ram, Samsung 970 EVO plus NVME M.2 500Gb Ssd drive.
My plan was to install Windows 10 on the M.2 drive and nothing else and then the other software on another drive which I don't have yet. I updated the bios to 1.07 with no issue. It appears the Bios recognizes everything, however when I go to the boot tab the M.2 drive is not recognized as well as the USB boot drive for windows. It only recognizes it when Legacy is selected. I changed the boot order so the Usb would boot first, restarted the system and just a dash blinks on the upper left  corner of the screen.  I'm thinking the problem might be because I downloaded Windows 10 using a MacBook. I downloaded the iso file and then created the boot portion using bootcamp. The USB remained fat 32 format so I was reasonably confident that it would work, but considering the M.2 drive and USB is not recognized when UEFI is selected  I don't know what to think, any suggestions would be helpful.

You may have covered some of these things but re-check the following:

1: Make sure in the BIOs the M.2 slot is turned on and active and not on legacy mode
2; Disconnect all drives temporarily except for the system drive (you can reconnect those later)
3: Boot with a Windows USB stick and make sure in the BIOs the USB stick is the primary boot device
4: If the Windows boots to the USB stick look at the initial windows boot screen and your M.2 device should be there (all other drives are disconnected).
    5. Choose to format the M.2 and follow the install prompts. If this works after the install reconnect your other drives and make sure in the BIOs the M.2 device is chosen as the boot device or preferably the Windows Boot Manager

Might need to go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management and see if it's shown there and right click on it to 'Initialize Drive'.

Or see How to Initialize a SSD/Hard Drive in Windows 10..Turn it 'Online' if it's not, format and assign a drive letter to it.

Just a few more ideas here.

Thank you for the quick replies. I ultimately went to a friends house who has a PC and downloaded the windows media creator. Came home and was able to load Windows with no problems. System works great. Again thank you for help.

    Hi Viper,

How is your 9900KF working with the Z390 Dark?

I recently dropped in the 9900KF into my Z370 FTW and I'm having an issue with win10 seeing the correct # of Cores and clock speeds. Intel Turbomax boost 2.0 wont show or install.

Maybe..But if you have another drive or room on your current drive you could partition it and install Win10 on it and see how it rolls.
