Fall is near, cooler weather, soon the leaves will turn colors, time for Octoberfest!!!!
PG Oktoberfest Challenge Challenge Sep 21 11:00 UTC to Sep 26 11:00 UTC
This is a  AP27 Search challenge.  This is CPU and GPU. As with most projects, GPU will do a lot more PPD than CPU.
Grab a pint, sit back, relax and crank out some tasks!

Link to the PG Octoberfest challenge.
http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=8764

Only tasks downloaded after the start, and returned before the end count, so no bunkering before the start.

So I'm confused, one rig is saying start time in 10+ hours and another saying 11+ hours till the start.  Screen shots were taken seconds apart. Only on Windows7. Linux always has the time right.

One or both of your computers has the wrong time. I would go and sync with universal time.

That count down clock is timed with the local computer time
The very small clock on that page right above the count down is the universal time

Both task bars show the same time. Both very small clocks on the web page show the same time, (the time the page opened UTC) Weird!

I’m going with 7AM EDT. The one rig has me starting at 6AM. Better late than early On PG.

Very strange. Double check to make sure you're in the right time zone for the clocks.
7 AM EST is the start time.
Guess I will do a running start. I am not getting up at 7 AM to start the boxes.

I am having issues and when I go to the Prime Grid website to check my settings I find it says disabled for GPU task for this project. Any one have any idea what it means by disabled? I was just running Collatz so I know my GPU works fine. Only thing I can think of is Prime Grid decided to make this a CPU only event.

EDIT: Never mind. I figured out the issue. The settings page was lagging and the changes I made were not updating correctly. Finally got it fixed and running finally.

Interesting, I found two 20's so far.

    Dear AP finder,

Congratulations! Our records indicate that a computer registered by you has found a unique Arithmetic Progression of primes of length 20. This computer is assigned to the AP27 project. Since primes found in this subproject are not large enough to report to the Top 5000 Primes List, your AP20 sequence is visible immediately.

Still hoping for my first 24. Getting a whole lot of 20s and 21s but surprisingly few above that. I may throw a second GPU in for the last day.

Edit: Have fired up a second GPU. I can't help myself.
