I have been using Chrome for years now, but all the ads are getting completely out of hand. I installed Firefox to use its ability to essentially remove all ads. After using it for a short period of time, it seems smoother and faster too... Probably, cause of the lack of ads, but the browser itself feels snappier too.

Chrome as a daily driver, and Vivaldi for my home desktop. Nostalgia is nice but being reminded that Chrome's bookmark system is equivalent to 15 year old web browsers isn't a positive.

Vivaldi has a real, database style bookmark system and has a fully customizable interface. Ever since the dawn of widescreens I prefer the tab bar to be on the left edge of the screen, goes a long ways on reducing scrolling and making tabs easy to find. Been meaning to try their mobile version, if it's stable I might finally drop chrome entirely.

I am presently using the Microsoft Edge beta which uses Chromium. Very stable and Microsoft updates the beta about once a week.

Mozilla Waterfox, ideal on multi CPU platforms and 64 bit operating systems themself :)
Ideal add blocker support as well, never had a single issue, been a Mozilla Waterfox since March 27, 2011 the day it first was released to public.

    My current version atm:

Thing is, I've always played the game and not blocked ads. I understand that the content is free and they have to make money, but the ad situation has just become so bad that it is frustrating entering any website anymore.

I agree! The problem is that they created an "ecosystem" that is hard to get out of once your in. However, after you are in, you start to realize just how much they are taking your information and using it to generate ad revenue. Ad revenue is fine, but they go far too far with it. It becomes extremely intrusive and annoying.

So far, I am liking Firefox. I had a couple of sites tell me to disable my ad blocker, I just leave the site and don't come back. There are no sites that ask me to disable an ad blocker that I REALLY need to go into anyway.

Still have EdgeHTML set as the default browser and run with uBlock and Ghostery. Use to for email and serious stuff.

I been using Firefox for over a decade. Currently running it with uBlock, Ghostery, HTTPS Everywhere, Decentraleyes, CanvasBlocker and Cookie AutoDelete oh and recently added DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials ... ha-ha with all that the internet still works well.

Also still have IE11 installed but never use it on this Win10 system.

To mess around with, have Tor on a USB flash drive with Privacy Badger added even though I'm not supposed to.
