Hello,
This is my first post here and I'm trying to find a solution.
2 days ago I switched my PSU from a EVGA 750BQ to EVGA 1000GQ, now from time to time my GPU loads in "flash mode" from what I found on previous posts. Is there a solution to this?
I had no issues with the 750W PSU but I was quite close to the limit so I decided to replace it causing this side effect.

I found the post showing the MCU update but I do not know if the FTW3 file works with my GPU model.

Please help
Thank you

Welcome to the EVGA Forums & congrats on your First Post & Thread

Did you Use the power supply (PSU) cables that came with the New 1000W PSU ?

Check that all connections were fully seated in the socket of your PSU & Hardware - sometimes it gets tight before it is fully seated

I did, I also tried all combinations of VGA Ports on the PSU and the only solution I found was to go back to my old reliable 750BQ.
I really don't understand how a cheaper bronze PSU works much better than a "premium" gold PSU.

Everytime I did a cold start the GPU failed and it made my power breaker do a click noise, such things never happened with the bronze one.

I do wanted to overclock the 2080TI but due to my PSU limitations I won't be able to do so. not unless I return the crappy PSU and get a refund first.

Could be a defective cable or PSU
OK, you tried all PCIe (VGA) ports on the PSU
Did you try different PCIe Cables with your 1000W unit ? (looks like 6 came with that unit)

Use two separate cables & not the single cable with the extra jumped end (pig tail)

Yup tried everything, turning off ECO Mode switch, switched cables, different VGA ports on the PSU and always the same result
The cables provided on this PSU do not have the single cable two connectors configuration so that is completely ruled out
As I said before my Power Breaker always clicked with the 1000GQ everytime I turned it on, that does not happen with my 750BQ

Now I'm scared that I lost my money because even the PSU has X years warranty I live outside the US and I'm not confident how the RMA process work.

Hi, bearing  with  you, the RMA should not be a problem, I suppose. Next time buy  a Seasonic PSU. They are the best. EVGA is just rebrandig  the PSU from other manufacturers, I do not exactly know, which /Foxconn maybe..?/
Seasonic rulez, check up the reviews.

Well sir I tried with another brand new PSU Corsair RM1000X and I still get issues during cold start and whenever I turn off the PC and turn it on immediately, I flashed the GPU and updated it without any problem to BIOS Version 90.02.30.00.AC with precision X1 and the problem is still there.
I was still during the 30 day window with amazon and I'm getting a replacement. I even spoke with Tech Service on the phone and they said I needed a replacement card.

Quite let down with this model and the brand.
