Hydro Copper Tear Down

Hi All!
 
Looking to build second system, but no longer need water cooling.  Wondering if you can tear down a hydro copper 1080 Ti and install an aftermarket air cooler (Artic Excellero Extreme IV)  
 
I have two of the hydro coppers that run perfect.  So hoping to continue to use them.
 
Ok idea? Im screwed

    Keep the original cooler and all of the parts and pieces, just in case you need to RMA in the future.

    i have a complete 1080ti FTW3 heatsink assembly including the vrm/vram plate i would be willing to trade for a hydrocopper block if interested.
