Ive had my CLC 280 for over a year and havent experienced any issues until today. Fans stopped spinning and when I checked the Flow Control Software the Fan Speed wasnt being reported. I have QFan control disabled for the cpu and I set the CPU fans to max output. I notice that the fans kind of twitch like theyre about to start spinning but nothing happens. Ive followed the instructions for re-installation as well as other trouble shooting tips on the forum. Pump is connected to usb 2.0 and fan headers are connected to my CPU Fan header with the radiator fans connected to the splitter.

I reinstalled the software and changed the CPU Fans to PWM. They worked fine and I was able to adjust the fan speed through the Flow Control Software. When I turned my PC on this morning the fans werent spinning and Flow Control showed the fans at 0 RPM.

Windows 10 Fast Startup OFF ?

Your USB cable is connected ?

    Your using ver 2.0.9 ?

Have you tried any of the older versions ?

You have done the step in this ?    FAQ ID # 59773

    FAQ ID # 59704
     (excerpt)
We recommend connecting the CLC fan header to the CPU1 or CPU2 header on your motherboard.

Make sure the fan header setting in BIOS is set to MAX or 100%. Do not use a PWM fan
curve for the header you connect the CLC to.

If your motherboard has a fan header designated for a "Pump" you should connect the CLC
fan header to this specific location.

Same issue, here fan only spin if i manually spin it myself. it will only spin at 2400 rpm. if i try to adjust the fan speed it goes back to 0 RPM[image]blob:[/image]

Which header on the MB are you using ?

How is the MB header set in BIOS ?

Test on a different header on MB

Tried the cpu, opt, sys fan and the pump fan hybrid headers. Still have to manually crank the fans and its not guaranteed that it will spin.

Tried auto, voltage, PWM at full normal and manual settings. No difference. I'm using a gigabyte board so I also tried the SIV software which works with a 3 pin case fan when plug to the hybrid header to change the fan curve

The evga fan is a 4 pin header. So is the motherboard socket. Has a buckle so only goes in 1 way.

Most likely needs a RMA. I had a similar issue with my 280 CLC.. where only one fan was working. EVGA Sent me 2 fans as a replacement.. those didn't work either. In the end, the unit had to be RMA'd. I bought a 360clc in the mean time to use, but IMO the 280 just blows the 360 CLC away. If I had a choice, I would buy a different CLC.. Like Deepcool

I had a strange similar issue recently after installing a new 3070 Ti and PX1---- the CLC 280 fans stopped running unless I had Flow Control open! Open the app, they run, close the app, they stop.

Clearly the pump itself was still running, otherwise the CPU would've cooked itself. At system idle without fans running the coolant temp was about 40C.

I went in BIOS and double checked that the pump fan header was set to full power. The fans are connected to the CLC instead of separate headers.

I uninstalled Flow Control, rebooted, re-installed Flow Control, then opened it and hit the Default button. It seems to be okay now--- at least the fans are running without the app open. Very strange issue.

OK, found the actual cause was the HWiNFO monitoring module was interfering with Flow Control, as described here: https://www.hwinfo.com/fo...ng-with-evga-aio.5952/

Fix was on launch of HWiNFO, review Safety options and uncheck "Corsair Link and Asetek Support".
