Hi guys,
I gave my dad my "old" evga 1060 SC gpu, and he recently bought and connected a LG 4k tv so he can occasionally watch movies on the tv.
He now uses 3 screens in the follwing order:
- Main monitor (HDMI port)
- Second monitor (Displayport adapter to dvi)
- 4K tv (Displayport adapter to hdmi)
I have read on this forum that the gpu prioritises the hdmi port over the displayport so that's the reason the main monitor is installed in the only hdmi port on the gpu. But every time my dad boots up his pc, it boots up on the 4K tv even when the tv is off. I switched things around so now the 4K tv is installed in the displayport that has the lowest priority and it still boots up on the 4K tv.
Can anyone help me, my dad now has to turn on the tv every time to check if his system booted on the tv and then it changes to his primary monitor automatically. It's a pain in the ass.
