Hi all,
i got my new Nu Audio Card, with my Beyer T1.2 impresive sound. One thing i woundering about. When im listen to music and change the music volume, it got a very small crackle 0.5s maybe. Sounds like you change the volume on an 30 years old receiver, where the
potentiometer are dirty. Is this normal? without volume changeing everything fine.

EDIT: when ich change the volume permantly from low to high on windows, the crackle is permanetly there. If i stop this no crackle anymore, clear sound. And its on both outputs. Headphone and normal speaker.

With my old Creative ZxR is dont have any problem.

Many thanks,
Prof

So new card is there. Same small "crackle"
No one any idea? Think that is normal, because two new cards have the same let my said "problem"
Its not really a problem, only an beauty mistake.

    I use the following configuration.

EVGA NU Audio (newest driver 0.2.0.7 and Frimware 0.2B on the card itself)
    BeQuiet P11 550W
    Windows 10 1903 newest updates
    Beyerdynamic T1 2Gen 600Ohm

Hi, this is happening to me as well just recently after the new driver update i started getting the crackling sound when the volume was turned up or when adjusting the volume. I'm currently eager to try new drivers.

Update: Bass beat causes the crackle through speakers.

    Hi Viper,

so do you also try an older driver version? Bass beat what you mean with that? Bass in music directly? EQ, Bass Boost everything is off at my side.

But lets wait for a new driver version

Hi, does the same with older driver so i done a complete uninstall of everything to do with Nu Audio AKA drivers and software then used CCleaner to get rid of registry entries, rebooted, used CCleaner again it found more Nu Audio software. Cleaned that and rebooted.
Downloaded the most up to date Nu Audio 2.0.7 and installed and there is still crackling on bass sound output. I adjusted the volume of the Nu Audio program to 70% to stop the crackle and turn up my surround to compansate.

I had the same cracking sound too even without changing the volume. Last week i bought gigabyte nvme gen4 and reinstall win10 and install the latest driver and finally the cracking is gone. Looks like ccleaner didnt completely remove the old driver.

0.2.0.4 still the same crackle. Is this maybe caused by the firmware? Which you have? I got 0.2B

So my Windows was really old, i reinstall it. But still the same  thinks that must be the firmware. Two cards same problem, also other user. Think everyone gets the new Firmware

Do we have a ETA for that release? I got my card today and I thought my headphones where the problem (Senn. gsp500). What i found out is that when lower freq. channels are high they start cracking the sound at specific volume ranges.
for me ~70-92, even with headphone volume change. So theres is a problem with strong base and master volume as specific ranges.
