Improvements to "Boost Lock" feature to ensure max overclock.

Gonna have to try that out in a bit.

Well the improvements to the "boost lock" feature didn't do anything to help improve my max overclock as the voltage is still limited. Only noticeable changes I could see were it locked the memory clock to the max value (0.4.8.0 didn't do this), and it set the voltage slider all the way to 100% (0.4.8.0 didn't do this) which didn't allow the card to pull more voltage anyways, so setting it to 100% didn't help at all.

Did you try boost lock on SLI?

Works just the same as it did in 0.4.8 for me. The boost lock feature worked in sli for me with 0.4.8.

Only a small improvement list but still figure it's worth the update.

    Downloading 4.9

Seems you cant skip 4.8 and go straight to 4.9 or you will get multiple errors during the download. Hitting ignore or retry will not help. You will have to download 4.8 before downloading 4.9.

And as usual the fan curve and a few other settings will have to be reset.

Updating from 4.4 to 4.9, everything works like normal.
    Except
    Boost lock.
Tried to lock at 2100 just to test the feature, and when I clicked apply it just locked up my PC entirely.
2100 is where my card usually runs after heating up and throttling and can run like that for hours in game at 95%+ load, and pass any benchmark with no issue. But trying to lock it on desktop and i have to hard reset

Also worth noting as with previous installs I used bcavanaughs PX1 clean up method before updating.

When 4.9 failed it installed 4.4.

I installed 4.8 next and then had no trouble installing 4.9 after that. Did not have to uninstall anything PX1 prior to downloading 4.9.

    None.

I forget which version it was but since then I have had to decrease the memory from 1300 to 1200 and now 1100 MHZ and the GPU clock from 180 down to 160 to find stability.

BFV is now also acting up but I believe that has to do more with the latest BFV update. Another issue has been with PX1 and BFV not working together concerning Gsync. Some PX1 updates in the past and now with 4.9 have caused Gysnc to turn on automatically even though I have it deselected in the Control Panel. While BFV is loading Gsync turns on, thinks about it for 30 seconds or so and then turns itself off. But after five to ten minutes one of the two programs re-engages Gsync and BFV crashes.

The Gsync issue started right after nVidia made Gysnc available to the masses. So the CP might be part of the issue as well but there have been some updates to PX1 where the Gsync issue was not a problem.

This version is not able read my profiles I created on v0.4.8.0, so I had to roll back. Also, when I installed the latest Windows update, which is called "2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4512941)" none of the versions of the software didn't boot on windows startup. So I uninstalled the update and installed v0.4.8.0 again, and everything seems working. My system properties are: i5-9600K, 16GB RAM, EVGA 2080ti Black Edition, Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit.

Yeah my boost clock typically settles in at 2100 with my overclock, not sure boost lock would be good for me. May give it a try a little later on just to see.

I just wanted to test the feature out, cuz honestly if I could lock it at 2165 regardless of temp when gaming that'd be pretty cool. Help finish smoothing out the last few frame dips in stuff like AC Odyssey and ghost recon wildlands

So I was running 4.8 and when I told it to check for update it didn't find one.  Had to just go to the website and download/install.  Is this a known issue with this software?  I was using the older XOC product until a few weeks ago.
