I noticed looking around at power supplies on Amazon/Newegg I happened to noticed the G5 units are up now, with two models being on sale actually. I went to check out EVGA's site to see if it was listed, but didn't find any mention of it.

Did they get pushed a bit early, or is EVGA still working on setting up the pages for them and whatnot?

Nice, the G5 at newegg has a rebate on some models too (the 850 watt is $100 after $40 rebate and 650 is $80 from 8/27-9/2).  Given the dates, maybe it's not entirely accidental and Jacob's going to be introducing it at PAX this weekend.
I wasn't paying too much attention to SuperFlower's models, but with the G5 not looking to have new features vs the G3 I wonder if it's more of a platform update.  Same eco switch on the redesigned back of the PSU.  Hydrodynamic bearing/fluid dynamic bearing fans.

    EVGA z590 FTW / 10700K / EVGA CLC280

Yeah, I'm wondering how big the difference is on the G5 model from the G3.

Can't wait to see the G7 and P3 that was shown off some time ago

While I don't know anything about product launches it seems odd that the rebate is from the EVGA website and they have not yet launched the products. If it was released at PAX then it would hit right before the rebate window closes on 9/2. It's also worth keeping in mind that you have to have the product in hand to fill out the rebate and submit it which has to be done within 30 days of purchase.

I personally wouldn't be ordering the G5 until an official release is made by EVGA especially if I need a PSU soon and I wouldn't trust that the rebate would happen until I hear the official announcement from EVGA on the products release as it could be back ordered until the rebate is no longer valid. Of course a second after I say this EVGA could post the release of the G5 on social media and then it's a great deal so if the deal interests you check out the EVGA Facebook or Twitter pages as well as the main site to see if it goes live.

Exactly.  We were waiting for the first mod to express skepticism about the launch and then BAM!

Not really that surprised it came out but so often we see products show up online based on rumors or that have a pushed back launch date. It’s important people understand places might not have products that are not officially announced in stock and just pre-selling the product. Luckily with the official announcement it’s good and the 1000W from EVGA looks pretty good and way cheaper then the G3.

I know the pages weren't there beforehand, at least to my knowledge. Seems to be there now

I had made sure to check before my post and the rebate was the only thing I could find. It's why I said it would be a good deal if the product was officially launched and to check back daily until the rebate ended which looks like was good advice.
