This driver MAY also include a fix for GOW4 and GOW5 freeze/crash.

It should also fix the reported color issues that GOW4 and other dx12 games were experiencing on the 436.02 driver.

Any REAL reason to upgrade from the JUST recently released 436.02? Unless, you are playing control? Kind of crazy, they JUST released 436.02, I do not want to update again if there is nothing really pulling me to these drivers.

Hi Mr Prime, there is no risk at 85c, the GPU will throttle back the boost clock and ensure it does not go too high automatically. if you want cooler temps and higher boost clock for longer set the fans to go faster they will be louder but temps will likely come down to low/mid 70c.

I would imagine if his GPU temps are reaching 85 those fans are likely already churning at 100%.
I certainly would be uncomfortable with my GPU getting that warm.

Sounds like either not a good thermal connection on the GPU or poor airflow in the case.
But yes, first set fans manual to 100%, everything else at default, and see if there is any difference running the same game.

85 C is pretty high but considering how demanding Control is and how aggressive boost clocks can be, it's not that unusual. I would reapply TIM just in case though.

i have msi afterburner, fans are at custom and its pretty loud already even with headphones... the thing is for example, the division 2 if i play at directx11 the temps are around 60-70max, if i switch to directx12 gpu goes crazy with temps up to 80+ not just division 2 any game with directx12 the gpu fans and temps go crazy, the new game "control" with some rtx features enabled the gup goes up 85+ degrees Celsius... at 1080p 60fps locked vertical sync enabled...

Is it just Nvidia or Windows as well?  I thought the DX12 experience was suppose to be much better via CPU loads and stuff.  Complete crickets on my end.

DX12, when it is properly working in a game, reduces input lag for me. Usually, it runs like garbage though. There was a period of time where I was able to use it in BFV without any stuttering and it worked very well (with much less input lag than DX11). Of course some update (from either EA or Microsoft) ruined this and now it stutters again.

Most GPUs fans don’t go up to 100% with the default fan curve and likely maxes out at ~60%.
