  • Update CPU Microcode and add OC Support for future CPU
  • Update Intel RST to 17.2.6.1072 for Intel security issue

Windows Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file above for your motherboard.
  • First go into your BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
  • Close all open programs.
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and open update.bat
  • Press Y to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS

Z370 FTW finally works correctly when Legacy CSM is disabled after installing the Intel Graphics Driver.

But weirdly, after flashing this BIOS, Legacy CSM was still enabled by default, should be Disabled as with the stock 1.06 version, I had to disable it after flashing.

I've been looking around on the 'net for bios updates, I'm running 1.08 still and wanted to see if 1.13 (z370 FTW) fixed the Load Line Calibration issues (or shall I say the lack of a working LLC at all) and it doesn't appear anything has changed in the past five updates - unless I missed it. But hey, adding support for future CPUs instead of the ones we already have out is great. -edited to fix typos/clarify

Hiya! I bought a Z370 Classified-K from Amazon.com and ship it back to HK in April 2019, I just open the box this week and pairing it with new 9th gen 9700K, however, the debug code stay at d6, or other "OEM pre-memory initialization codes", the monitor shown nothing.

I am not sure if it due to the BIOS version which may not be up-to-date or else. I don't even know the current BIOS version number on the Motherboard.

I don't have other CPU to initiate the BIOS update process, does Classified-K support no-CPU BIOS update? Would you please assist?

    Many thanks.

Hello and Welcome to the EVGA Forum
I think you need update new BIOS Version 1.14 that included 9th gen support CPU!
You can contact EVGA customer Services and they will help you?
You may send your motherboard to EVGA and they will update for you!
Do you still have any i7 Coffee Lake CPU it will work on your motherboard then you can update BIOS 1.14 from there

    D6 = No gpu detected.
OEM pre-memory initialization codes = Clearly this is a ram related error.

Let's say if the Classified-K MB BIOS is at version 1.00, does it support Pentium Gold G5400, G5500 & G5600 Coffee Lake  (all Launched in Q2-2018) & Celeron G4930 Coffee Lake (Launched in Q2-2019)?

They are not mentioned in the compatible list.

    Many thanks

I borrowed a 8700 and make the Bios 2 to version 1.14, and it was ok for while, when Bios 1 and pressed Bios reset, it doesn’t boot. I switched back to Bios 2 and presses Bios reset again, the MB doesn’t as well, no screen and beep whatsoever, the debug code at either 0A, 14, 23 for both Bios 1 and 2 setting. The Memory error, PE2 and PE4 error led are on. I am so upset.

    I have 2x8 Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2E3200C16, 8700 and 9700k, no PCI-En device.

Is that any method to make it boot up again, I don’t want to ship it to Taiwan for RMA since the postage are high.

That great you did borrow off your friend! Good idea
That the reason why you have install 9700K on your motherboard then you have replace to 8700 made your bios interrupt error!!
So you need remove CMOS battery and leave for 2mins but you have to unplug power supply from the wall before remove CMOS battery.
After remove CMOS battery the leave for 2 mins leave all small electricity drain.
After 2 mins or more whatever you wish so try put back Battery and try boot up to BIOS 1!
Let us know if still issue...

EDIT> make sure you have reset your BIOS1 and 2 before unplug wall and remove battery

    Thanks for your quick reply.

I was once to boot the MB with 8700 & BIOS 2, I was able to enter the BIOS page (1.14 version), set the RAM profile to Profile 1. After switched off and tried to use BIOS 1, the Memory-Error-LED was lit up, so I tried to use one 8GB RAM(Slot 2) instead of two 8GB Rams (Slot 2 & 4), it did not work and Memory-Error-LED was lit up, I then Cleared CMOS while the MB is on. No help and then boot again with BIOS 2, Memory-Error-LED was also on, then I Cleared CMOS while the MB is on. I swapped the CPU to 9700K, same things happened.

Would it relate to what you call "BIOS Interruption" for both BIOS 1 & 2? Hopefully not.

After seeing your reply, I tried your method with 9700k and Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2E3200C16.

    Procedure A.
      1.  While power plug on the wall, PSU switched OFF, MB with 5VSB-LED on.
      2.  Switched to BIOS 1, Pressed "Clear CMOS" button and release quickly,
      3.  Switched to BIOS 2, pressed "Clear CMOS" button and release quickly,
      4.  Long pressed the "Power" button to turn off the MB, then unplug from the wall,
      5.  Removed the battery for few minutes,
      6.  Put back the battery and then switch back on at BIOS 1.

    Procedure B.
      1.  While power plug on the wall, PSU switched ON, MB with 5VSB-LED on, Memory-Error-LED, PE2 & PE4-Error-LED were ON,
      2.  at BIOS 1, Pressed "Clear CMOS" button and release quickly, did not switched off Power,

Both procedures failed to boot, no screen, no Bios page, no beep, but 5VSB-LED on, Memory-Error-LED, PE2 & PE4-Error-LED were ON, debug code was at 14 or 23. Then switched the MB off, set to BIOS 2 and boot, same, no screen, no Bios page, no beep and same LEDs lit up.

Did I do anything wrong? Apparently the BISO procedures did not complete.

    Please help again. Depressed.

That is okay we glad to help you!
Sorry to hear still not going.....I haven't see this problem before.....
You did correct method to your MB BIOS
I think you need power down and strip all down (CPU, RAM,Graphics card and all USB) also take off the battery ..make sure nothing on your motherboard...then leave for 10 mins.
After 10 mins try put back CPU etc... but first try test boot up on 8700 on BIOS 1 if it work do try do update BIOS 1.14!!

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TO WAIT ABOUT TENS SECS YOUR MB WILL BOOT UP AFTER 10 SECS OR SOMETHING IT WILL RESTART FEW TIME SO DO NOT SWITCH OFF UNTIL IT WILL APPEAR BIOS SETTING..

Post us back... how getting on ..let pray

Should I press the "Clear CMOS" Button while the MB is ON or OFF?

I was once to boot the MB with 8700 & BIOS 2, I was able to enter the BIOS page (1.14 version), set the RAM profile to Profile 1.

Sounds like you were making progress here until you tried to load the xmp profile.

I tried servals time on your latest recommendations, pointing south.

It just didn’t show me anything on the screen, debug codes stayed at 14, 25, 0A, 49, but mostly 14 & 25.

Can you get it to work with the 8700k if you just "fix" BIOS switch position 2 (clear the CMOS and update to 1.14), load the UEFI, load "defaults, save and do a reboot onto Windows? Does that mean that BIOS 2 is working through multiple reboots?

If that works, clear the BIOS, power down and install your 9700k. Go into the UEFI and load "Defaults", save and boot. Does the system boot?

Again, if this works; try this (method for fixing a corrupted BIOS but works well for preforming a BIOS revision update using a currently unsupported CPU)...
With the system running (with your 9700k) and Windows loaded, change your BIOS switch to position 1. (This can be tricky if you have a long-ish graphics card, you may need a flat-blade screwdriver to slide the switch.) If you haven't done so, extract the contents of "E379_flashtool_114.zip" somewhere locatable to your system and run "update.bat" (in the root folder of the extracted archive) to flash BIOS 1 to version 1.14. When it has completed, reboot and go into the UEFI and load "Defaults", save and reboot. Does this work?

If the above tasks worked out, you can now go back into your UEFI and load the XMP memory profile for BIOS position 1 (rinse & repeat for BIOS switch position 2 at your convenience).

Hope this works out for you.

Thanks for your reply.  I think it might be too late to carry out what you recommended, BOTH BIOS 1 & 2 stuck on the debug codes 14,23, etc, with 8700, I don't even see the EVGA logo showing up on the display, no beep as well.

If BIOS 2 come back alive, I can carry out what you recommended.

Btw, when I was updating the BIOS version on BIOS Interface (booted at BIOS 2 position), loaded .bin file and flashed, does it mean both BIOS 1 & 2 are flashed as well? or just BIOS 2?

    Many thanks.

I can't even use BIOS 1 to boot, can't enter BIOS 1 page.

Apparently BIOS 2 (updated to 1.14) is not working either with 8700 or 9700K

Hello again. I have read your comment above. Seem Sajin correct if your cpu socket have any bent pins. Have you check yet?

    checked, no bent pin

In that case I would recommend you try some memory that is known to be compatible with the motherboard such as this kit... https://www.newegg.com/co..._-20-236-027-_-Product

    I have 2x8 Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2E3200C16, 8700 and 9700k, Verbatium Vi550 S3 SSD 512GB, no PCI-E device.

I am thinking to buy ONE "Kingston Value Ram 2666MHz 8GB" and have a try before sending it back to Taiwan for RMA. Would this RAM fit?
