Hey gang,
I have been running my Z390 Dark since mid January. I have been running 51x multi on all 8 cores on my 9900k, hyperthreading disabled, no AVX offset. I have been running a core voltage at 1.32v set to Adaptive.
I noticed here in last couple of days some games started locking up on me.
So I went in to do a run on Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, and it locked up within like 3 minutes into the run. I upped to 1.33v and still the same. I then upped to 1.34v and it made it through a short 15 min run fine - obviously will do some more testing.

So anyway am a little concerned why the change from previously being solid as a rock at 1.32v. Could my CPU be degrading? My temps were fine, CPU core usually in mid to upper 60's while gaming, low 70's while stressing. At 1.34V temps still appear ok, around mid 70's peaking to about 77 occasionally while stressing.

Also I mentioned I have been running adaptive on the voltage. I liked that because my cpu voltage would drop at low loads and idle. Should I consider running a fixed voltage rather than adaptive, would that be better for the cpu? Or should I maybe consider backing off on my overclock?

Thanks for any tips, would really appreciate it!

Don

Could be degration, but it could also be you didn't get your voltages dialed in correctly too.

Yeah that is certainly possible I guess, but it sure was stable for many weeks previously before this.
So far so good at 1.34v.
