I have used several entry-level DAC/Amp kits form Schiit and Fiio that sounded great, but personally I did not like the clutter of them on my desk.  I am not going to get into audiophile terms, descriptions, and charts, but  the EVGA NU Audio Card sounds at least as good as a Schiit Magni/Modi stack while having mic input and freeing up desk space and wires on the desk.  I love it and would highly recommend all audio enthusiasts looking around the $200 budget range to check it out.
