Just turned on my rig this morning and everything seems fine, working from home so no hardcore gaming or anything today, just youtube and spreadsheets. I hear a fizzle then pop and my machine goes dead then I get the lovely smell of burnt silicon. I can't see any scorch marks on the card but the smell is strongest there so I remove it and test the machine boots using the on board GPU. All boots fine and operating normally so I'm pretty sure it's the card that's dead, just glad it didn't take out anything else.
 
Is it worth me trying to get a replacement as I got his card in 2017 or better to cut my losses and upgrade?

I received my replacement card but it appears to have it's own issues, it keeps crashing randomly. I've made sure it's seated correctly and also tested an old card in the same machine with no problems. The PC also works fine using the onboard GPU. I've reached out to Support again, the last thing I can think of is trying the card in a different PC but I don't have another machine.
 
I've recorded some of the crashes and put them in a video here   
 
Any ideas of other things I can try before I go through sending it back again would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear your replacement card has problems too. You could take the card to a local pc shop for testing.

Thanks for the responses! I took it into work and tried it on in a new machine in the IT department and had exactly the same issue. Didn't even make ti to the login screen before it started artifacting and crashed.

I've started another RMA and EVGA have said they'll pay the shipping (If I send them the receipts etc.).
