i what to oc my i7 7820x cpu but i ues the auto overclock from evga in the bio i set to 4.90 ghz but the vcore is 1.380 i set it to 4.70 my vcore is 1.280 in auto setting is that high i don;t what to kill my cpu i have water cooling but win i ues linx test my temp hit 80 to 90
i have a evga ftw

    MB Auto setting almost universally Use too Much Voltage .... Voltage = heat

    I don't have that board or platform. What I would do is take off auto and set the voltage to 1.27 test at 4.70 . If passes stability testing keep dropping till it doesn't. That should tell you the voltage you need for 4.70. The auto voltage setting is usually at the high end. Besides voltage frequency creates heat.

    my temp our 70 75 win i ran  linx but game is around 50 65 ish

    i got one more qusion win ever im in a game it drop to 4.60ghz in game for a sec and got to 4.70
