Welcome to the thread.  I have ordered the raw materials for this batch of blocks.

had to wipe the dust off my machine, and re-drill the dust out of the fixture plate that I use to make these blocks.  God its been YEARS!

From my perspective EVGA SR-2 is best enthusiasts motherboard ever launched.
I looked one video Linus tested systems worth 5.000$ 10 years old with Intel D5400XS Skull Trail Motherboard.
That's Dual LGA771 generation before EVGA SR-2 and much much weaker, about 3 years older then EVGA SR-2.
And he didn't had problems running 4K video smooth and similar things...
SR-2 is for class better in USB and SATA standards and off course better Intel Xeons.
And 1136 is golden age of Intel.

If you look better Intel D5400XS and compare with SR-2 you will see they are very similar but SR-2 look for class finer and better quality then D5400XS.
Linus say D5400XS costed around 600$, it's shame what we get today for 600$, ATX MSI or GIGABYTE AM4 motherboard X570 with promise that X590 will costed even more. Shame. SR-2 and dual socket ATX motherboard with cheap AM4 Socket are not comparable at all. SR-2 would cost maybe even 1200$ with prices today.

SR-2 and Nehalem platform is definitely better but that video was half effort at best.  They used 2GB FB-DIMMS (8GB are cheap as dirt at this point) and did not even overclock the CPUs.  I was excited at first since I love playing with older hardware but that video was pretty disappointing.  Quick perusal of ebay you can get 4x 8GB FB-DIMMs for 30-40 dollars and that would have helped performance immensely.  Nobody is going to get a system like that and use some 1 dollar memory.

I understand what you say, but Linus want to show only that system is not completely dead but after 10 years difference in performance is huge.
No doubt SR-2 or even 771 could work much better and there is a place for improvement in CPU and Memory performance.

Sadly I ran out of mounting hardware.  All the blocks are finished and leak tested.  I ran out of the 3/48 hardware that holds the blocks to the boards.  Last time I ordered it was Sept 2015.  Guess it was time to order new.  They will arrive tuesday.

My apologies for the additional delay :(
On the bright side, it allows you guys to get the 1mm thermal tape :)

SR2 blocks went out in the mail today.
I gave them a light coat of oil on the blocks (so the screws don't rust).  All you have to do is wipe the blocks down with a rag.  You dont want to remove the oil from the Delrin, it will have a nice luster to it.  Avoid cleaners.  Just a quick rub down like you are polishing a shoe (if any of you have ever done that before)

Wow, these look great!
I have 2 original sr--2's from back in the day. I have custom water blocks that someone made back then , but they are delrin... nothing as nice as this.

I have all the parts but never got around to installing anything. Nearly 10yrs later (i think), finding this thread makes me want to finally get the h20 system going.

The system itself still runs like a champ, longest I've ever kept a system. I used to buy/sell systems every time something new came along. Sr-2 systems are great IMO.

Great work!👍

Back from the dead again! haha. Any chance you'd consider making one more @nateman_doo? PM me or email me (my username) at hotmail.com. I'd love to hear the details. My chipset fan has been replaced multiple times and i'd love for a bit more permanent solution! This looks amazing! Nice work and amazing job supporting the community on an almost 10 year old motherboard!

Sorry, I hardly check this anymore.   I have actually had a few requests in the past few months, so I figure I may as well post an update.

I am currently deployed overseas, so I wont be able to do anything until possibly the summer of 2021.  If you guys can hold off until that time, then I will certainly fire up a few of them.  Gotta shake the cobwebs off, and take a long needed vacation when I come home first.
