Asking mainly because what if the card dies or something is wrong with it the first 30 days ? Can I deregister a EVGA video card once it is registered ?

Always register your products right away with every manufacturer.

Why would you deregister the item?

I don't think it's something you need to do, really...if the card dies early on and you RMA it, eVGA and other companies usually associate your original serial number with the replacement card (tho the replacement has a different serial..they know it)..

Nothing wrong with waiting a few days or weeks to make sure the product works right. If it's within the product return window, i would deal with the retailer over a mfg customer service. I buy my hardware from Amazon (Sold and shipped by Amazon) whenever possible. If i receive a defective product, they will ship out a replacement for free, before receiving the defective product back. They will give me a free return label too.
