Hello does anyone know what the output impedance of the headphone amplifier is? I tried searching the forum and looked at the specs but couldn't find it.

The ADI OP275 appears to have less than 1 ohm output impedance.

Output impedance seems to be a rather useless measurement for an amplifier.  An amplifier should have low impedance; way lower than any speaker.  Why do you ask?

Is that the same as whats coming out the headphone jack? The output impedance can change the way headphones sound, the greater the impedance the greater the frequency response deviations. There are some desktop amps that are over 10 ohms and the general rule is the output impedance should be 1/10 so in this case you should use 100 ohms or higher headphone.

According to the information I can find online, yes.

EVGA's product article says that the output impedance is "a small fraction of an ohm". Additionally, its advertised headphone support is 16 to 600 ohm, and therefore it would be impossible for that wide range to fit into a 1:10 ratio of any number.

Where does this 1:10 figure come from? Do you have a link?

I am going off of what NwAvGuy did and the testing he did.
    Here is the link
Edit: it doesn't let me link because my account is too new.
If you google "output impedance nwavguy" it should be the first result

He recommended "output impedance no higher than 1/8th the impedance of your headphones. Or, to make it even simpler, an output impedance of 2 ohms or less."

So, EVGA's NU Audio card with low output impedance (less than 1 ohm) is no problem.

The NU Audio card can drive up to 600 Ohm headphones through the headphone output.
