A few years ago, I decided to buy "end game's PSU" it was 500$'s EVGA SuperNOVA NEX1500, I use it in several rig (all water cooled). Change motherboards, gpu's etc. Periodically faced problems that I thought occur due to overclocking, like sudden power failure. But recently I bought Corsair PSU and ALL my problems ended at once.
 
Just want to warn you, never buy EVGA PSU's! These guys don't know how to make power supplies. GPU maybe, but not PSU.
 
I'm happy to be able to throw away this unstable, noisy piece of work.

Mine NEX1500 died.  I like him. No one in that period had similar PSU.
I think NEX1500 influence to companies who sell power supplies think more to include better cables and design nicer PSU case then before.
 
It's not EVGA fault. EVGA not produce power supplies or CORSAIR.
Only companies who not produce other PC parts, Seasonic, Super Flower and few more lower class players make all good power supplies on market. Really is not EVGA fault. 
They planned nice reliable PSU to work 24/7 several years.
 
Platform is not comparable with Super Flower and Seasonic.
After NEX1500 I use EVGA 1200 P2 with EVGA Black Sleeve Cables I couldn't continue to use normal cables after NEX1500.
I'm so glad EVGA didn't gave up from power supplies and year later become one of main players.
CORSAIR is not different. If you want different CORSAIR that's only Flextronics, but you need to pay a lot.
They make only strongest CORSAIR models, 3-4 for now only, but customer will not see difference. 
 
 
 
 
 
 

NEX1500 reviews are not even close to reviews of G2/P2/T2 Generations.
They really surprised whole market with quality. Super Flower made platform for EVGA same as for them maybe even with improvements. 

That is HARD on the wallet throwing out a pricey PSU! Glad you can turn it for another. Should you ask politely YOU may be able to change it for another given they do not even make the that one any more.
It HAS been my experience AT TIMES the good people at EVGA do UPGRADE you or at the very least give you an upgraded equivalent. My MB burned out and thought the PSU MAY have been an issues and had me RMA at EVGA's expense, that SO worked for me... I ONLY buy PSUs by EVGA, NOBODY's RMA process is easier! 
TBH Corsair's customer service has come a LONG way and I had memory issues and they grades me for FREE! But at the end of the day I prefer the Super Flower Platform to the Flextronic one, though BOTH are 
excellent PSUs. Good luck with the RMA!

Stick with the Super Flower / EVGA analog models (T2). Too many things can go wrong with digital controllers.
