Hey y'all, I have been searching on this for a day or so, and I am finding that the voltage for the CPU can get kinda high
in auto mode if you are running an XMP profile (for ram), so I found some bench tested voltage numbers for the 9900k and was wondering what settings I should use in BIOS?
The cpu hits 4.8/5.0 in stock when turbo'd up, so unless I'm wrong, the voltages should max out at 1.25 and drop down to 1.025 or lower at idle, correct? So what settings should I use in BIOS to get to this? (I can read up and figure out droop and all that once I have a full understanding of how to properly set the voltage)
Ran LinX for about 10 min last night and temps reach into the 90's. (testing for heat and voltage for now)
For now to do some testing, I want to run it stock, HT on, Turbo on.
Z390 Dark, 1.06 BIOS.
i9 9900k
EVGA CLC 280mm All-In-One RGB LED CPU Liquid Cooler, 2x FX13 140mm (Stock setup, top of case) (in BIOS, fans set to 100%)
Phanteks Enthoo Pro Tempered Glass PH-ES614PTG_BK, Black (2 fans going in in front, one going out in back) (in BIOS fans (on internal hub) set to run faster as system heats up)
It's kinda early here and before work, so my post may not make complete sense lol, I'll post back later after work when I'm more awake.
thanks,
RC
