Hey guys I could use some help here. Brand new water cooled build and cannot get video to post. I am getting Post code A6. Tried unplugging the card (vertical mount and plugging it in other pcie slots to no avail. I was grounded during the entire build process so I am confident components are not damaged (at least by me) Troubleshooting by using another v card is not really an option due to hard tubing used in the build (I would have to perform a complete tear down.) I notice the board has a display port connection but there is no mention of onboard video in the manual. Not sure if I can do anything with that but plan on grabbing a cord asap. Has anyone else experienced this? Any intelligent ideas? Welcome to the Forum A6 is Normal. A6 SCSI Detect Do you have USB Device Plugged in USB Ports like a Flash Drive of USB Drive? In the Bios did you set the allow only to boot form OS Drive and turn off the rest?

Thank you for the reply. I only have a usb keyboard and mouse connected. I cannot enter bios because there is no video, so I am dead in the water for now.

Are you using a Monitor or a TV? Does your Keyboard have a Bios Switch? Also the first boot can take a few minutes before the Bios pops up. Are all your Drives NEW? Did you install a Drive with an Older OS on it? What is the Part Number of your "CORSAIR Vengeance RGB" Remove this "vertical mount" and plug the Graphics Card directly in the PCIe Slot.

I am using the monitor shown in my first post. It works. I have tested it on my MSI laptop. I am thinking of picking up a display port connection tomorrow to see if there is video coming through the mobo but again, not sure video is even on this board. I unplugged the keyboard and mouse, got the expected errors, then still no video, stops at A6 and 5 fast beeps.

Are you using a Monitor or a TV? Monitor connected via DSPort Does your Keyboard have a Bios Switch? No Also the first boot can take a few minutes before the Bios pops up. Nothing Are all your Drives NEW? New ones are in the description, though I do have an old SATA connected. Going to remove JIC. Will report back. Did you install a Drive with an Older OS on it? Yes, the SATA has an OS on it. Was going to format after startup. What is the Part Number of your "CORSAIR Vengeance RGB" CWM32GX4M2C3200C16 Remove this "vertical mount" and plug the Graphics Card directly in the PCIe Slot. Teardown. Hoping to find another option first, but will do as a last resort. I will try a couple of things and report back. Do you know if I can get video using the mini display port on the mobo?

I took a chance on the memory but I don't believe that to be the problem. EVGA has UEFI BIOS listed in the manual. I thought I was getting code a6 but a closer look reveals that when the mobo beeps it is on code D7. The manual describes the code as "5 Beeps: This error is stating it cannot detect a keyboard. This can also indicate a video card is not detected." I assume the latter, since video doesn't work.

D7 is Not Graphics Card or Video. Power Supply can cause D7 as well, my 1300 G2 causes this on my X299 Dark Motherboards if I have SATA Drives Connected. Yes what I asked if your Keyboard has a Bios Switch.

I unplugged the video card vertical cable. No beeps. Seems fine, but without a miniDSPort cable I can't see BIOS to troubleshoot any more. I will pick one up tomorrow. I do have another Power supply to test. Will replace that first. Like you suggest, I may have to remove the vertical mount and try it that way. I will post more when I know more. Tomorrow though.

OMG I got it! Something really stupid! The DS port cable was not fully plugged into the monitor. Started right up after connecting it.
