Hi, i just got hands on a SR-2, lucky me! =D
So I got two X5690 and my problem is, I can rise the blck up to 160Mhz so far so good. If I restart and go to bios I can rise it further up to 180Mhz (even prime stable). BUT if power off the board and try to start it again, it will run in error code FF everytime the blck is higher than 160Mhz. Any Ideas?

Cheers
Marc

Edit: I found the problem: The Mobo doesn't like 1,2V IOH. Set it back to Auto now it's running.
I will post screenshots after Prime95. ^^

Very good troubleshooting on your part as not a lot of people would realize the 1.2v IOH would have caused your issues.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

    So I made it:
    Vcore: 1.475V
    VTT: 1.325V
    Ram: 1.35V
    CPU_PLL: 1.89V

    21H Prime stable

So some Info if you want to watercool a SR-2:
You need to hunt 2 old EKWB Supremacys on ebay, just because the new ones don't have the LGA1366 backplate anymore.
Than you need to rebore the 4 mounting holes of the cpu socket about 0.5mm, because the mounting hardware is slightly thicker for the consumer coolers.

For the Mobo Liquid Extasy from Germany still produces them but expext to wait some weeks until you get your cooler. It's just a one man company.

Thanks for sharing, could you please post ALL your settings within the BIOS? Would be very appreciated.

Holy cow that's a lot of vcore! Are you concerned about longevity at all? Also for a big performance boost try getting your uncore frequency up a bit. I'm running my X5680 at 4.5Ghz with 1.38 vcore and 18X uncore multiplier. Nets over 1k in CB R15.

Oh I forgot to say that uncore is already running at 4000MHz.

Than do me a favor, download Prime95 and go for following custom settings:
    Min FFT: 1344
    Max FFT: 1344
    Run FFT s in-place: yes
Time to run each FFT: 15

And tell me how much Vcore you need for 30min pass.
Because I also can run cinebench at arround 1.4V but Prime will crash immediatly.
As far as I know the x5690 can handle up to 1.5V without degeneration. I flattened the heatspreaders and used Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut. Both CPU Waterblocks run in parrallel configuration and get cooled by a MO-RA.

    Edit:
Oh I see you only run one CPU. On my old Rampage 3 Extreme I could also run arround your specs. But the big difference is, the R3E let me use the multiplier up to 28x and the SR-2 only up to 26x so I have to run higher BLCK.
